Fridays from the Frontline: Preparation

startingline

Welcome back to Fridays from the Frontline, our weekly summary of news from MBA applicants and students. This week, our theme is preparations. MBA applicants are preparing to take the GMAT and to fill out round two applications, while MBA students are preparing for life after business school and MBA institutions are preparing for recruiting events.

MBA applicants are at several different stages of preparation. NaijaMBAGal just received a round 1 interview invitation from Sloan, and has scheduled a Skype interview with the school on December 2nd. PullingthatMBAtrigger is working on her list of schools for Round 2 applications and preparing to retake the GMAT. My Life of Bliss is also working on shortlisting business schools. Black Girl MBA on Campus discusses her plans for studying for the GMAT. Finally, My Journey To Business School takes a break from the application process to think about what being part of the business school community will be like.

In the world of current students and MBA programs, Rohan Rajiv talks about learning the link between reward systems and culture in Kellogg’s “Leadership and Organizations” class, while the Kellogg admissions team shared their plans for their LGBT Preview Day. Over at Duke Fuqua’s student blog, Joaquin Brahm discusses recruiting for positions in Latin America at Fuqua.

That’s everything for this week. Be sure to tune in next week for more news from the business school blogosphere, and best of luck with your round two preparation!
