The following Georgetown / McDonough interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them!

The interview was on campus. I was stuck in traffic and arrived 8 minutes late, I had called ahead as soon as I parked to let them know I was on campus and on my way. The student did not seem too upset but in the long run I think cut down a couple questions he asked due to time constraints. We still had a 35 minute conversation which was very relaxed and conversational.

The interview was completely blind. He had not seen my resume prior to my giving it to him during the interview. He asked me to walk him through my resume. I gave a good summary and really what my objective was with each move and in each role.

He interrupted me at one point when I was discussing being an ESL teacher and told me his girlfriend was doing that in Brazil until recently. I’m originally from Brazil we spent some time bonding over Brazil.

Questions asked:

He asked about difficult situation when I made decision that was not liked.
He asked about a global experience?
Criticism received and given?
Why MBA? Why Now? Why McDonough? What after MBA? (these were all different parts of one questions I think due to timing he condensed the question but I spoke to every point)
How I have learned about the school? What interactions I’ve had with alum?
What other schools I’ve applied to?

Overall I think despite arriving late I was able to recover and make a good impression and discuss most of what I wanted to highlight during my interview.
