The following London Business School interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them!

I recently interview with an alumnus for Round 2. The LBS e-mail said the interview would last from anywhere between 1 to 2 hours.

The reviewer had my application, so it was not a blind interview. At the beginning, the interviewer introduced himself briefly and spoke about the structure of the interview and said that he expected it to last about 1 hour 30 mins.

It was divided into 4 broad sections

First section was about my résumé, with standard questions like walk me through your resume, Your roles at work, how would people at work describe you, managerial style, what do you bring to a team, experience with cross cultural teams, how do you think teams would work the best, Any time when you were challenged at work etc.

Second section was about my interest in LBS – Why LBS? What other colleges have you applied to? Why MBA from LBS? Short term and Long term goals after MBA? What happen if Plan A of your goals doesn’t work out, what is Plan B? How do you think LBS will help you? What research have you done on LBS?

Third section was Case Presentation : 10 minutes time to read the case format and case prompt followed by 5 minutes time to prepare and make notes, followed by a 5 minute presentation

Fourth section was for me to ask questions about LBS and the interviewer told me about his journey at LBS and after it. What do you want to know about LBS? followed by a detailed description of LBS MBA.
