Fridays From the Frontline
Hello, and welcome to Fridays From the Frontline, Clear Admit’s weekly look into the concerns and events of the b-school blogosphere. This week MBA hopefuls continued to gear up for their essays and GMAT exams while current students reflected on internships.

Sanket tried his hand at poetry, but only in Hindi. Rolipolli pondered whether the recent economic downturn should keep him or others away from pursuing MBAs. Pyarapopat struggled with his first Wharton essay drafts, but turned to a friend for clarity and a new approach. The Phoenix celebrated his recent GMAT score (770) and told his readers about his personal exam experience. GMATting announced his plans to apply to LBS and Harvard in round two, and asked for opinions about the relative merits of each program. The Log arranged a Skype interview with Purdue’s Krannert School of Management.
Harvard ’13 Parker shared additional resources for those interested in giving their recommenders a basic idea of a successful letter. IMD ’12 Howie posted photographs from his three week break, which included a lovely extended road trip in Italy. Kellogg ’12 Jeremy continued to prep for the upcoming KWEST trip he would be co-leading to Ecuador in about two weeks. INSEAD ’11 V. went on a treetop adventure at a Singaporean reservoir. Fuqua ’12 Jordan bought a glass of lemonade from two little girls who knew a little something about hospitality. IESE ’12 Hari recounted his Spanish internship experience. And that’s the news for this week! Until next week, we hope you’re enjoying the early weeks of August and taking advantage of each day before round 1 deadlines start really looming.
