The Leading Independent Resource for Top-tier MBA Candidates

MBA Intelligence Reviews the Clear Admit MBA Planner App

The Clear Admit MBA Planner App for iPhone and iPod got praise as part of a recent review in the June 2013 issue of MBA Intelligence, an online magazine for current and prospective MBA students.

“Think of this app as half virtual business school dossier and half virtual Filofax and then you’ll have a good picture of what it’s like,” wrote the reviewer. Indeed, the MBA Planner combines real-time, school-specific information about several of the world’s top business schools with organizational tools designed to help you manage the many moving parts involved in the application process.

“This app could be a great productivity tool if you’re in the midst of applying to several schools whilst still managing to hold down a busy full-time job,” the MBA Intelligence reviewer continued. Once you have selected your target schools, the MBA Planner creates a checklist of application components for each school, keeping track of what you’ve completed, what you have left do and which deadlines are approaching — keeping you focused and organized while applying to multiple schools and juggling other responsibilities.

The MBA Planner App also lets users add notes anytime inspiration strikes, about individual application essays, things you learn from alumni and students, questions you want to ask an admissions official – a feature MBA Intelligence noted was particularly useful.

The only quibble MBA Intelligence had with the Clear Admit MBA Planner App was that it focuses on top-tier businesses schools, which might make it impractical for candidates for whom those schools may be out of reach. We’ll accept that criticism – the MBA Planner App reflects Clear Admit’s own focus, which is on applicants to top global MBA programs. Nonetheless, we are continually working to add additional school information to the app.

Just this week we have added updated school information for Harvard Business School, Stanford Graduate School of Business, UMichigan’s Ross School of Business, UNC’s Kenan-Flagler School of Business and Columbia Business School. And more updates are imminent, including for the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, MIT Sloan School of Management and Indian School of Business.

  1. Wow, excellent idea of a mobile app for MBA application. Till now we thought only time saving was the key to success but now this article makes us think that technology is the key to success too.
