MBA Admissions Mashup: Welcome Weekend & Recommendations
Every Wednesday, we share a round-up of the latest news from MBA admissions blogs at the top business schools. Now that most of the Round 2 deadlines for the schools that we cover have passed, the blogosphere is admittedly a bit quiet. However, we were able to find some timely admissions advice, a look ahead at Wharton’s Welcome Weekend as well as meet the Washington / Foster’s Class of 2018.
First, let’s meet the Foster MBA Class of 2018. In addition to profile a handful of “new” MBAs, the Foster blog took us through their introduction to Seattle and the UW campus. “Overlooking views of the Space Needle and Mt. Rainier, the homes of Seattle-business pioneers such as Gates, Bezos and Shultz provided an appropriate backdrop for this cohort of future business leaders.”
For those of you still ironing out the finishing touches to your application, good luck! For a little extra advice, the UCLA Anderson admissions team “When selecting to write a letter of recommendation, don’t seek a fancy title. Rather choose a professional that can speak volumes about your character and work ethic.”
And, if you were recently admitted to UPenn / Wharton, congratulations! Next weekend, the Wharton team is hosting its Welcome Weekend where admitted students will have a change to “meet future classmates, and if you are an admitted student who has not already registered, there is still time to do so!
That’s all for now! Catch you next time on another MBA Admissions Mashup!
