Business undergrad from top 20 public university. 2 years at well known (but non-MBB) consulting firm, then transitioned to F50 company in corporate finance with strategy related project work. Want to use MBA to transition into true corporate strategy group. Have solid ECs in college, and consistent involvement since, although nothing particularly earth shattering.

Anon Likes Earned: 0 A good spread of schools. Great gpa, experience is probably on par with what you need. You'll know after round 1 what you need to do for round 2. Maybe switch Duke to round 1, if you can. (0)

@Stan Likes Earned: 0 Your numbers are certainly in the ballpark for top programs (although GPA more so than GMAT when it comes to the very top of your list). Work experience is ample and sounds like a great way to show progress (from consulting into industry). What I am not seeing is a unique angle with respect to your career goals. Would you engage in corporate strategy for any firm? Is there no industry or domain that you find particularly appealing? Is there anything that might connect your "solid ECs" and "consistent involvement since" with your career goals? That would obviously be a nice thread to weave... (0)
