scholarship amount was not major factor but community from fellowships was; I was completely torn between Kellogg and Ross, but with similar employment outcomes, Ross’s student led venture funds, tight knit community, and social life in Ann Arbor (rather than chicago), made more sense for me. Both are amazing and I acknowledge Kellogg’s prestige

Deferred candidate looking to transition to PE/VC before matriculating and want to leverage the MBA network and brand. I know PE and VC are very different but I have interned in and enjoyed both (I like VC slightly more). I could also see myself in consulting or tech. To me, MIT and Columbia brands hold more weight, but Booth is strong in PE/VC.

I’m a deferred applicant who wrote a very long post on July 2 asking for advice. I have decided to go with Booth. Thanks a lot Eliot for your take on my situation!

Deferred admissions were tough, but you can prove you belong by being thoughtful in your purpose, realistic in your goals, and dedicated in your preparation. Good luck everyone.

I got accepted to Harvard Kennedy School's MPAID in March and waited more than three months on Sloan's waitlist, but finally got out!
I rejected Booth (no dual degree option with Harvard) hoping I could get into Sloan or apply again, but thankfully it worked out.

DEFERRED PROGRAM admit enrolling 2025-2026 after 2-3 YOE in econ consulting. Post-MBA unsure, but one of: MBB, Big Tech strategy/PM, mobility/cleantech, maaaaybe pivot to IM (ik I would have to get CFA), LDP, or return to econ consulting. LT want West Coast but ST might want to explore a bit. Please see more below and thanks in advance!
