Question about IESE

Is it normal to be asked to interview for the second time? I applied in R1 and was expecting my decision on Dec 12 but I was asked to give a second interview today.

grichmond Verified User. Likes Earned: 1149 I cannot comment as to how common this is, but I would assume the same advice applies with any school that calls you back in for a second look. Here's some advice I recently posted on a similar question: "Clearly the committee has interest in your candidacy, but also likely some need for clarification. Do you have any weaknesses or elements of your profile that may require further explanation? Needless to say, for the interview, I’d be ready tackle all the basic questions around Why IESE, Why Now, Why an MBA, Career Goals, etc., and I’d definitely examine all aspects of your background and think about where the committee may have had doubts, questions, or need for clarification. Best of luck, and keep in mind that they wouldn’t be talking to you if they weren’t considering making you an offer!" (1)
