any one who has an update on the waitlist recently? any idea why don't they release the waitlisted applicants?

Anonymous Likes Earned: 0 They don't release the waitlist applicants because they have not yet made a final decision. There is no "MAGIC" or "OMG I DIDN"T KNOW". Cornell is known to be slower on their application process. You can say they are more careful or whatnot, but they are just known to be slower. I understand this is difficult, but I basically assume reject and am working on a flexible plan B. (0)

Anonymous Likes Earned: 0 For rejections off waitlist, they inform in August. But if you're international and haven't heard anything back you can assume that there's no chance for you now as they wrap the international waitlist by mid June (0)

Given the waitlist process, there is practically no chance for international students post mid June as these students are likely to not make it to the class when the school starts. This is a cost to both the school and the student. School will have a more disadvantaged students who will thus has higher chance of reducing class average employment & income. (0)
