Hey folks. Do you think it's smart to follow up with Adcom now? Getting anxious that they may miss my application...
Applied on Jan 15th but i see lots of last-minute applicants got their interviews/offers already

anon13664 Likes Earned: 54 This is most definitely a bad idea. Stern specifically states that their initial notification will come by April 1st. Nothing you can do but wait until then. I highly doubt any adcoms would miss your application. With that said, I think Stern's way of approaching post application process is pretty suspect. In the same boat as you but have, for the most part, given up on Stern. (3)

anon84535 Likes Earned: 87 Oh boy here we go again. If you go back to R2 (and probably round 1), you will see this exact conversation happen over and over and over. They don't go in order of application date, nor did they state or set a precedence that they would. They have their internal process, we as applicants don't know how it works on the inside. All they promised you was a notification by April 1st, which is what you will get. It sucks but the best you can do is wait. and update the Adcoms of any major changes. (6)

anon84535 Likes Earned: 87 That may be true, but even in the waiting game, there's a difference between nerves and anger. This conversation tends to start with normal justifiable nerves and end with pitchforks and fire, and I'd rather not have riots this time around. (3)

You wrote a long comment directed at someone else’s plight and this was just a reply to that. There’s no anger. We are all waiting and I would expect a certain level of understanding from everyone in the same boat (4)

anon84535 Likes Earned: 87 I was talking about the other countless times this comes up. It was more of a warning not to let it get that far. The description of the process as "suspect" was an indication that there may be something brewing and I wanted to nip it in the bud. (4)

anon74811 Likes Earned: 1 I'm in the same boat too. I applied on Jan 15th, but my recommender didn't submit his letter until Feb 5th. But like everyone else is saying, they have until April 1st to let you know something. Just be glad that it's nothing and not a rejection notice. (1)
