Question about Michigan / Ross

Ross R1 decisions are expected to come on 5th December. However, I have gotten an email from Ross for a 5 minute connect for 3rd December. It says, "Good News". Is this normal? Do they usually approach before the deadline? Or is there more to it that I do not know about?
