Volunteer with kids 3x a week
Semi elite in my sport still (running the world major marathons)

Could you let me know if any of these schools seem out of reach? And any schools I should target of this group.

Be good to understand more about your post MBA goals, both short- and longer-term. Choosing one path, consulting or investment banking is better.

Showing impact and growth at work, supported by strong recommendations, is very important. The dedication required to be a semi-elite marathoner will also help with your overall profile.

A lot depends on which programs you should target. For example, if you were to boost up your test score, that might help elevate your overall profile.

debrenuh Likes Earned: 0 Hi Alex was planning on applying either this 2025 or 2026 fall (4 or 5 years experience) I think my GRE score is probably maxed around here, and yes I am still deciding on consulting or IB, and trying to pick a more concrete goal. Another question I had was , do you think that these schools will take into account my GPA coming from such a rigorous program? (0)

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1842 Yes, they’ll take into account the rigor of the program, but I’d encourage you to consider a GRE retake, just to confirm you know that’s your max score. Moving the GRE up just a few points may have an outsized impact, especially if you’re applying in a while from now. (0)
