Intake Year: 2026
Pre-MBA Career: Manufacturing (Data Analytics)
Post-MBA Target Industry: Consulting, Consumer Goods, MF, Auto, Aerospace Companies: Other
GRE: 332
GPA: 2.9
Years of Work Experience: 4

Notes:

Background: Bootstrapped E2E data analytics pipelines for multiple factory locations at a F1000 manufacturer. >$5M in cost savings (direct or assistive). Projects are mostly solo-builds, but involve cross-location stakeholder alignment across multiple departments. Work function is close to a full-stack DA/DS/DE, but involve legacy systems and lack technical depth.

Education: 2.9 Undergrad GPA with multiple Fs in intro quant courses early on (retaken with B/A split) - performance downstream of medical issues & club involvement. Clear bifurcation between 1st/2nd yr and 3rd/4th yr performance - dean's list in later semesters. MS in DS, 3.5 GPA.

GRE: Taken in 2023 - 170V, 162Q, 3.0 AWA. GMAT performance (range: 625-645), has been underwhelming after ~3mo of studying.

Target Outcomes: T2 Consulting > Corp Strat > LDP. Do what I do already (solve process problems for internal clients), but with increased impact and faster career velocity.

Primary questions are around the GRE:
- Is the GRE fine as is for applications (despite AWA) and should I switch focus to R1 essays, or should a retake be considered for R1/R2? If a retake is advised, should R1 apps be postponed to R2?

Additional Question:
- Is my super-split profile more competitive than I initially believed, or is my school list well-calibrated for R1?
