Notes:

Columbia's location was the primary reason to choose CBS over Booth. Would save me $$$ and time I would have spent traveling from other schools to NYC for networking!

anon32276 Likes Earned: 6 But you're also paying at least $40,000 in tuition and living in a higher cost setting. Both great schools, don't get me wrong, no decision is a bad decision, but your reasoning of saving $$$ in travel seems flawed since I don't think you would've spent over $40K in travel. Also, being in NYC is going to require a LOT more networking than is required from the schools not in NYC because you're EXPECTED to network and coffee chat and meet with employees a lot more often in NY whereas at Chicago they would come to you. anon43305 Likes Earned: 0 The comment regarding EXPECTATION of networking seems flawed --even the folks at Booth spend time networking, with the only difference being the they end up spending a lot of time "on calls" rather than on "coffee chats". Personally, i would rather prefer to meet someone in-person. (0)

anon43305 Likes Earned: 0 To add more to the comment above, Booth folks also spend a week or so in NY meeting people. So I don't feel that there is any significant difference in the amount of networking involved! (0)
