Deciding between Booth and Haas. Studying at Haas feels like it would give me a natural edge for recruiting with tech companies. Booth seems to have a stronger brand globally, and it's hard for me to say no to that. However, I feel like I'd have to hustle a bit more at Booth to land tech jobs, since it's not a tech focused school. Cost is similar.

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1830 Do you want to be back in the Bay Area, post MBA? I’d examine the alum network in tech, in the Bay Area for Booth, and see how that compares to Haas? Haas May well be a better option for the short term, just want to make sure it remains the better option in the longer run, too. (1)

eliot Verified User. Likes Earned: 1991 Congrats on your six acceptances. You mentioned that you are deciding between Booth and Haas. Looking at the 2024 employment reports, here are some helpful stats for you:

Booth: Tech: 65 (14.6%), Health Care 18 (4.1%), West Coast: 91 (20.8%)

Haas: Tech: 42 (24.3%), Health Care 13 (7.5%), West Coast 135 (78%)

Based on the 2024 employment reports, Booth actually placed more grads into tech industry jobs (65) than Haas did (42). In addition, Booth placed 91 grads into jobs on the West Coast which is pretty impressive.

In summary, both Booth and Haas would provide you with opportunities to land a tech job on the West Coast if that is your goal.
