I got into the MBA/MPCS program at Booth with scholarship, but I'm still stuck between Booth and Harvard, and if it's worth passing up the Harvard name/resources/network to save money + earn a second degree.

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1845 It’s always going to be hard to pass up HBS. I’d think hard about your goals, short and longer term, and consider whether HBS provides you more access. If you’re considering your own business longer term, for example, that might well be the case. (0)

These programs would provide you with a great education and allow you to achieve your career goals. Question - how important to you is the second degree option at Booth? Meaning, if you are really interested in this MPCS program and think it will have a material impact on your post graduate career, then go to Booth. If this second degree is less mission critical for you and your career, then other options like HBS would make sense. I encourage you to speak with current students at both programs, to help you make your decision. (0)

anon69462 Likes Earned: 1 I don't know if HBS provides more access. I sort of have a vague idea of potentially targeting product roles (not necessarily just product management) or something related to strategy. I don't want to do consulting or investment banking. MPCS might make it a differentiator for me on my resume, but not sure by how much, especially if i'm not going into technical product management. All in all, would appreciate any insight here.
