Question about All Schools

I have my toefl test scores and I got a 106 in total. R: 29, L: 29, S: 26 and writing 22. Unfortunately my writing score is very low unexpectedly. Do I need to take the exam again or the total score is enough alone?

grichmond Verified User. Likes Earned: 1445 This depends on which schools you may be targeting. As you may be aware, some schools do not have a TOEFL requirement at all - relying on your GRE/GMAT and the admissions interview/video interview questions to assess English language skills.

Of course, many programs do require the TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo English, or TPE, but the range of scores they ask for varies. For instance, Harvard Business School discourages anyone from applying with a TOEFL below 109.

I’d suggest looking at your target schools websites and measuring your score against their posted requirements or averages. And, of course, if you think you can perform better on the test, a retake certainly won’t hurt.
