What is a good EA score for the Full-Time MBA programs?

It's still a fairly small group of top full-time MBA programs that accept the EA (Columbia, Duke, NYU, UCLA, UVA...), and as a result, I'm not aware of them breaking out their stats/averages on EA scores submitted for FT admission. With that said, 150+ is usually the threshold for top EMBA offerings, so I would suggest that you aim for 155+ in this FT context, where the competition will be a bit stiffer.

Is there a reason you are taking the EA if you are targeting FT? Are you planning on looking at both EMBA and FT MBA offerings? Are you an older candidate? Best of luck!

anon17117 Likes Earned: 50 Thank you for your response! - I take EA because for concentration it is much more convenient for me. Also, it has much more straightforward questions vs GMAT. - Due to my current job I have limited time for test preparation and EA is preferable choice for me. - I'm international candidate and I believe, EMBA is not that promising for future career opportunities than FT MBA is. Also I really would like to experience FT MBA life with all its advantages. (1)

grichmond Verified User. Likes Earned: 1457 Thanks for your reply. It's fine to take the EA - if a school accepts it, they don't have a preference for one exam over another. Of course, given that not all FT programs accept it, you will be narrowing your options in terms of target schools.

Also, just keep in mind that the EA isn't a backdoor into these schools; they know it's relatively easier than the GMAT, and that is reflected in the typically high average EA scores seen for those who do make the cut.
