Question about Northwestern / Kellogg

Is it possible to get an extension on a deposit deadline?
I've been accepted to a top 15-ish program with a generous scholarship, a program I'd be happy at. I've also been accepted to an M7 program with no scholarship. The admitted students weekend for the M7 program is about a week after the deadline to submit my deposit to the other program. I'd like to go to that weekend to make an informed decision.
What would be the best approach? Would they consider my need to visit another school as to make the best decision as a valid reason for a deadline? I want to be honest. Any guesses on my chance of getting a 'yes'?

You should just explain to the that you have multiple offers and that you would love to have time to attend admitted students events in the coming weeks before committing. Also, indicate a specific timeline - e.g. ask for an additional two weeks or something so that the school has a clear sense of when you will be able to commit.

This likely goes without saying, but I would not mention the ranking of the programs or the names of the schools you are considering. Just keep the focus on wanting to be able to make the best decision for you - and how attending admitted students events will do that.
