The Class Profile

Fifty-two students enrolled at Bath for the MBA Class of 2025. Forty-eight percent are women and 95% are international. At matriculation, new students averaged an age of 29. Bath requires candidates to have a minimum of three years of full-time work experience, with evidence of career progression, and the latest class averaged six years of work experience.

Application Procedures

Applications open in the autumn and close for international applications on July 31st. Places are limited and therefore highly competitive, so early applications are advised.

Applications consist of a completed online form, submission of a CV, supporting personal statement, details of two professional referees, degree certificates and official transcripts. Bath does not require the GMAT. The program does require proof of English language skills through such tests as the IELTS, PTE Academic, or TOEFL, if English is not an applicant’s first language. Interviews are conducted on an invitation-only basis.

The cost of an application is £60. A free CV checking service is provided in advance of submitting an application for candidates who wish to pre-check their eligibility.

Academics

Curriculum

The Bath MBA offers an innovative, collaborative and applied learning experience that reflects how modern organisations work. Students will learn alongside a diverse global cohort and expert academics whose research shapes contemporary business thinking.

Learning begins in September with The Big Team Challenge, an immersive introduction that gets students working straight away with a corporate partner on a live business brief. From there, students progress through a curriculum that blends academic theory with practical experience.

Student Life

Bath offers its students many opportunities for extracurricular involvement.

MBA students have access to:

  • The Students’ Union (The SU), offering over 200 student-led groups, clubs and societies
  • Team Bath Sports Training Village (STV) includes an Olympic-sized swimming pool, and indoor and outdoor facilities to accommodate more than 50 sports

Campus Spaces

The University of Bath campus is located right on the edge of the city of Bath, offering sporting, social and creative opportunities. The city is ranked as one of the safest for university students to study in the UK by the Complete University Guide and the university is one of the first in the country to win a national police-approved security award.

Building on over half a century of experience, the new £70 million School of Management building was opened in 2023 and is home to the Bath MBA. This outstanding facility includes:

MBA Careers

Career Services

Bath MBA students receive personalized one-to-one career coaching and guidance throughout the program. Focused sessions are both reflective and purposeful to clarify post-MBA pathways and career interests, whilst career specialists are on hand to connect students with employers in a broad range of specialisms.

Support is provided for up to three years post-graduation. At the end of the MBA, optional paid internships are available with one of the many organizations the University has connections with. Places on the internships are highly valued by students, but also very competitive so early interaction with the careers team is advised.

Career Statistics

Forty-one percent of the 2023 graduates who secured employment remained in the UK. Fifteen percent headed to Southeast Asia for employment, followed by 11% each to East Asia or Europe. North America took in seven percent of graduates.

Of the Bath MBA class seeking employment, 14% each landed in manufacturing, management consulting, healthcare, architecture/property services, or advertising/marketing. Ten percent each went into banking/financing, storage/distribution/logistics, or environmental/conservation industries.

Financing

The tuition fees for Bath’s MBA program for the 2026/2027 entry year is £38,950.

Scholarships and bursaries that cover all or part of the cost of the MBA are available to full-time students from the UK and abroad. Candidates invited to interview will be advised on how to apply for a scholarship.

The scholarships offered by Bath center around the program’s values. Scholarships are competitive and awarded based on students’ experience, achievements and ambitions.
