Overview
Maryland’s Smith MS in Management Studies (MiM) program is a ten-month, full-time, in-person program located at the University of Maryland’s campus in College Park, Maryland just outside of Washington, D.C. Smith’s MiM program is seeking recent college graduates with up to three years of work experience who are pursuing a management degree to launch a business career. For international students seeking a U.S. work visa, Smith’s MiM program is a STEM-designated degree program.

Curriculum
The Maryland Smith Master of Science in Management Studies is completed in 30 credit hours of classes over 10 months. Students can either pursue a general management curriculum or choose to pursue a focus in Sports Management. Students take a mix of core courses and elective courses. Core courses include Marketing Management, Business Ethics, as well as Managerial Economics and Public Policy. Additionally, students can complete an Experiential Learning project as a core course, working with companies such as Google, Major League Baseball, Marriott International, and Pepsi. In terms of electives, students can opt to take classes in Business Consulting, Valuation in Corporate Finance, and Consumer Behavior, among others.

Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid

Admissions
Applicants to the Maryland Smith MS in Management Studies are not required to have taken any prerequisite courses. In addition, no full-time professional work experience is required for acceptance into the program.
