AnonLikes Earned: 0I am on waiting as well. Any update?(0)
AnonymousLikes Earned: 0What a school to get waitlisted at. I was in your position last year prepare for a long wait. Good luck with it anyway (0)
OPLikes Earned: 0What do you mean by "what a school"? Do you mean to say they aren't good at responding? Or that they admit long after session stars too?(0)
AnonymousLikes Earned: 0Meaning it's not a good school(0)
AnonymousLikes Earned: 0:(...got it(0)
AnonymousLikes Earned: 0@"What a school": Since when did a top 20 school become "not a good school"? I don't get the Tepper hate in the comments section of this site. Choosing a school is all about career goals and cultural fit. I know a lot of people just blindly choose M7 or nothing, but everyone needs to do their research before pursuing an MBA and choosing a school. Find the school that fits you best, not just what everyone says is best.(0)
AnonymousLikes Earned: 0I did do my research. Tepper is not good for the main industries: consulting, finance, tech. The last is surprising but a quick LinkedIn search shows this (0)
AnonymousLikes Earned: 0I mean I guess if you want to work for a ketchup company and raise your family in Pittsburgh, Tepper isn't bad. Maybe its like paradise compared to international students' countries(0)
AnonymousLikes Earned: 0Umm so sending people into consulting & tech is easy. Sending people to top consulting/tech firms is hard. Tepper sends people to 3rd tier consulting (think Accenture) and 2nd tier tech firms. Waste of $$$. I mean check on LinkedIn how many product managers come from Tepper. It's shockingly low(0)
AnonymousLikes Earned: 0@3rd/2nd tier: I'm not arguing that sending people to top firms is hard, but you act like Tepper doesn't have good career outcomes. We all know H/S/W will open doors at almost any company, but they're not the only ones that can provide career outcomes at top companies. I know for prestige-hungry people like you, brand name is all that matters and I won't change your mind otherwise. As for your statement regarding product management placement numbers, understand that most non-west coast schools face more challenging recruiting for tech firms in the Bay Area/Seattle. Combine that with the fact that Tepper is one of the smallest top 20 schools, you're not going to see Haas placement numbers in PM roles at Tepper. That being said, I found 11 PMs at Amazon from Tepper in the first 50 results on LinkedIn when you filter on Internet/Computer Software industries. You can also see PMs at Google, Microsoft, etc. from Tepper in the results as well. Based on compensation numbers in the career placement report, I don't see how Tepper is a waste of money, but then again you seem to only care about prestige. Like I said earlier, sorry you didn't get into HBS, Wharton, Stanford, etc.(0)
AnonymousLikes Earned: 0look you don't need to pay $200,000 at tepper to get a job at accenture. or actually maybe you do because your career sucks, hence your interest in 3rd tier b-school(0)
AnonymousLikes Earned: 0If you want to do ketchup/mustard consulting, go to CMU(0)
AnonymousLikes Earned: 0@ketchup: I'll do ketchup/mustard consulting. I believe that's tier 1 condiment consulting. Dude I don't understand why you're so hung up about telling people not to go to Tepper. Did you get rejected by them? Hmmmmmmm sounds personal.(0)
AnonymousLikes Earned: 0Nah it's to educate people to not fork over $$$ for poor outcomes. I'm heading to HBS (0)
AnonymousLikes Earned: 0Dude, are you new here? Every single school gets hate. The last couple of posts have been hate on INSEAD, Wash U Olin, Cornell, UVA Darden, MIT, etc.(0)
AnonymousLikes Earned: 0@new here: I'm convinced you're the same dude leaving all the troll comments. Just FYI - HBS does NOT stand for Hult Business School. Congrats on the admit to Hult though!(0)
AnonymousLikes Earned: 0If that helps you sleep at night because you can't get a good job because you went to bad school, then sure. But the fact is I'm headed to HBS and want to see the people I'll be managing in 2 years. Pretty sad group really.(0)
AnonymousLikes Earned: 0I'm convinced you're the same guy who only dreams of getting into mediocre schools like Wash U Olin & Tepper hence trying to defend the schools. Pathetic (0)
AnonymousLikes Earned: 0You guys are jobless!, what ever schools fits your career goals go for it. @what school, You can go ahead and start MBA consulting firm to advice applicants on what school to apply. (0)
AnonymousLikes Earned: 0If I wasn't sponsored, I probably would. Easy $$$ to be paid in admissions "consulting" especially as an HBS student(0)
