@Stan Likes Earned: 0 How many times have you taken the GMAT? The reason I ask is because while the MOOCs and MBA Math may help a bit with your quant. score, the truth is that your overall score is below average at a handful of programs on your list. With all that said, your LGBT status and extensive outside interests, could certainly help your case. Make sure you conduct outreach to the various LGBT entities on your target campuses. One final thought: have you looked into NYU Stern's strengths in the marketing/advertising domain? (0)

OP Likes Earned: 0 @Stan - taken it twice, 710 first time and had a higher quant score then which I'm letting the schools know about. Agree that overall GMAT score is a concern esp. as an ORM, was hoping applying R1 might have a slight impact there...fingers crossed for good news this year but if not, I'll get back to studying and aim for a higher score to be more competitive next year. Anonymous Likes Earned: 0 The MOOCs and MBA Math aren't accredited. Haas explicitly wants at least one accredited quant course, either calc, stats, or linear algebra for building an alternative transcript/mitigating low Q. The other schools I applied to were similar. I got into two T10s with a red flag of a quant score but multiple accredited post-college quant classes under my belt. CPG doesn't reeeeally recruit at Haas, just so you know. (0)
