Applying: Harvard Business School, MIT Sloan, Stanford GSB, U. Chicago Booth, UPenn / Wharton
Intake Year: 2023
Pre-MBA Career: Army Officer (Cyber)
Post-MBA Target Industry: Consulting, Technology Companies: Bain , BCG , McKinsey , Apple , Google , Microsoft , Oracle
GMAT: 730
GPA: 3.82
Years of Work Experience: 4
Location: Baltimore
Post MBA Location: United States (probably East or West Coast)
Notes:

GMAT: 730 (48Q, 42V, 6IR, 5W) I studied for about 3-4 months for this. Is it worth trying for a higher score?
Ethnicity: White / Alaskan Native
College: 3.82 GPA. I have a Physics major, Math minor from a top 100 liberal arts college.
Job Experience: I am a currently serving Army Officer in the Cyber branch. My work experience involves me planning real-world operations as well as executing those same operations. My certifications are limited to CCNA right now, working to get CEH and CISSP. I am a certified Cyber planner in my organization. I am also Ranger qualified, and I would say that Ranger School was one of the more significant events in my career / life.
Extra Curriculars: I did track and cross country in college for the university, as well as participated in the ROTC program on campus. Post-college, I spend a significant portion of my time running still (I enjoy working out). I train up for a race about twice a year. I also organize cocktail making competitions with my group of friends, and this same group of friends and I participate in some local red league sports.
Future Plans: I would like to get my MBA from a top tier school that provides me a route into consulting with a tech focus, or tech itself. If straight into tech I have interest in a product manager type role. I can be technical, but my strength, as well as what I enjoy, is organizational management and leading people.
Questions: I posted one question up at the top: do I need to worry about strengthening my GMAT score? And my other question involves my narrative. I would just like a second opinion on whether it makes sense. Tech fascinates me, but consulting is also a career path that makes sense post-army as it provides a lot of exposure to different industries. I still see myself in a tech PM role 5 years in the future though.

Additional Notes: Thank you Graham and Alex! I look forward to your podcast every Monday. Been listening since my older brother was accepted to a M7 school two years ago, thanks in part to the advice you give!
