Question about Harvard Business School

When would you expect HBS to start extending offers to waitlisted candidates? I know the R2 deposit deadline is Apr-29, but not sure how soon they would start making calls to waitlisted candidates?

grichmond Verified User. Likes Earned: 1457 You are correct in assuming that the admissions board will have a better sense of things once the R2 deposit deadline has passed. It will take time for them to sift through where they stand, however, so I would give the a couple of weeks.

Are you a R1 waitlist? R2? Did you interview? Any sense as to why you might be on the list?

With all that said, you are probably aware that HBS doesn't admit all that many folks from the waitlist - largely due to their very high, and rather predictable yield. Of course, in these somewhat unpredictable times, perhaps things are shifting, but historically HBS hasn't taken a ton of folks off the list - especially post-R2 admissions decisions.
