seekingsuccess Likes Earned: 1 Hi alexbr4! Apologies in advance for the long post. I am planning to take the GMAT June 21. I have been doing test prep courses trying to grow my quant score. I have a V84 in my practice as of Feb end, but I am barely able to break Q and DI 70. It’s been an uphill battle. I currently work for Deloitte and I am going through the Business Case prep and presentation for our Grad School Assistance program. I’ve been at the firm 3 years, I’m a top performer and I just got promoted. I have ample support from leaders and I lead multiple practice development initiatives. I am involved in “extra curriculars” both at work and in my personal life. I volunteer at animal shelters, I’ve led a field team for a local mayoral campaign and I tutor unhoused children in a home for battered women and children. Work and MBA-prep have really taken over my life so I haven’t been able to be as involved lately as I would’ve liked. I graduated cum laude with a BS in Biology and minors in chem and Spanish. I competed my Spanish and Chem minor in Peru under Spanish instruction. I was in student government all 4 years, ran for Student Body VP, was the VP and Membership chair for my Sorority, and lead many many other groups and activities. I really enjoy being involved and doing things that feel bigger than me. Post MBA I plan to return to consulting. If I get GSAP I’ll return to Deloitte, if not I am aiming for MBB strategy. I plan to focus my MBA studies on Strategy/Operations, Entrepreneurship and Marketing. Long term, I aim to open a chain of Dental practices with my sister who is recently graduated from Dental school. I am struggling because I feel like a great applicant but I won’t stand a chance at my desired programs if I can’t get my score up and that is disheartening. (0)
