Hello, thank you for reviewing. I am a working professional considering a part-time MBA for the Fall of 2024. My undergraduate degree is in Industrial Engineering, and I graduated with honors and extensive extra curricular activities. My first job out of school was with Frito Lay as a Supply Chain Leader, managing a department. The role changed during the COVID pandemic, where I found myself as a font line leader, which was one of the hardest experiences of my life. While there I was recognized for excellence in management, leadership, and commitment to DEI.
After 2 years, I decided to change my career trajectory. I realized I wasn’t happy, and made drastic changes to my personal and professional life. I took a role as a project manager at a health care non-profit, with an emphasis on health equity, DEI, and public service. While there, I achieved a Project Management Professional Certification (PMP), and transitioned to a higher level position within the same field.
I hope to achieve an MBA to enhance my executive presence. Long term, I would like to lead in this space, with my goal to become a COO. If applicable, I am a cis woman, and a member of the LGBT+ community. For my applications, I plan to leverage a test waver at my selected schools. I have a strong quantitative background, and academically I consistently perform well. Thank you for the time, and I look forward to hearing back.
