Notes:

My main target is Foster, but will also consider a several other high-reach schools assuming depending on my GRE retake score.

I'm applying to Foster in R1 or R2 and wondering what my chances are applying without a GRE score. I took it a few months ago and got a 312. I'm currently studying for a retake next month but want to better prepare in case I don't get my target score of 320+.

If my retake doesn't go as planned, and I get a 312-315, am I a competitive enough candidate to apply without a test score?

Based on my background, what should the score cutoff be? Is it fair to say if I get a 315+, I should submit with score, and if I get less than a 315, I should apply test optional? In either case, I will write an additional essay outlining my quant/analytical background.
