UCLA Anderson Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA)

The UCLA Anderson School of Management Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program is a 15-month, STEM-designated program located at the UCLA campus in Los Angeles, California. The program allows students to master data science tools, statistical modeling, and business analytics in order to prepare for a data driven business career.

The 15-month UCLA Anderson Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program offers a comprehensive curriculum that allows students to master data science tools, machine learning, and business analytics while gaining hands-on industry experience.

The MSBA program is split into five quarters. Students take a structured sequence of quantitative and business courses across these quarters. The first year covers foundational core classes including Introduction to Business Analytics, Probability and Statistics, Data Management, Machine Learning, and Prescriptive Analytics alongside foundational business strategy courses. The final quarters include advanced analytical electives, a capstone industry project, and specialized business application courses.

In order to complete the program, UCLA MSBA students need to complete a required set of core technical and business courses as well as elective units. Students also participate in a summer internship and a year-long Applied Analytics Project (AAP) where they work directly with corporate partners to solve real-world business problems using data analytics.

The UCLA Anderson Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program has a class size of 109 students, of which 79% are international students. On average, these students are 24 years old, have 1.5 years of work experience, and hold a 3.7 college GPA with an average GMAT score of 668 (91st percentile) and an average GRE Quant score of 169 (93rd percentile). Their most common undergraduate majors are economics, statistics/data science, computer science, and business administration.

The UCLA Anderson Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program offers career guidance and interview preparation via the Parker Career Management Center (CMC). Students can also hone their professional skills by working with dedicated career advisors and coaches in the Parker CMC.

Students receive personal coaching from the Parker CMC staff, helping students to clarify their career goals and explore career paths. The center provides students with effective job search techniques, job specific coaching as well as access to the UCLA Anderson alumni network.

For the 2026-27 academic year, the UCLA Anderson MSBA program fees total $81,600, with an estimated total student budget of $108,438 including living expenses, health insurance, and fees.

Regarding financial aid, all MSBA applicants are evaluated for merit-based scholarships and all applicants are eligible for private student loans. To be eligible for federal financial aid programs, U.S. applicants must submit a FAFSA. There are additional financial aid options for U.S. students, including Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans (with an annual limit of $20,500 and an 8.07% fixed interest rate for 2026–27) as well as GI Bill benefits for eligible veterans.
