mbapplicant1406 Likes Earned: 26 GPA: i came from a middle-class family of 10 so I had to work quite a bit to fund my own education which impacted my GPA. Still was heavily involved in leadership positions on campus though. GRE: I’ve considered it but haven’t had the capacity due to personal life stuff. If I get dinged from all of my schools then I’ll retake and reapply R1 in September. EC: Associate Board member at a foundation that fits with my personal story. Also volunteer at another neighborhood outreach organization here in Chicago. I also lead a professional development committee at my firm. (1)

Curious to better understand where you want to land post-MBA (USA, Europe). I do suspect that a higher test score would make a big difference, since the best remedy for a low GPA is an above average test score. Best of luck and keep us posted!

mbapplicant1406 Likes Earned: 26 thanks for the input guys! I think I could get a better GRE score. I took it pretty short notice after underperforming on my GMAT and had a lot of personal life stuff going on so I didn't have much time to prepare. I'm hoping that my essays, work experience (i have a "dual" role that I'm confident isn't comparable to typical pre-mba roles), ECs, LORs, leadership experiences, and unique career goal of launching Search Fund to acquire a small biz in the US will overcome my avg/below avg stats. Hoping at least one school finds me interesting enough to give me a shot!! will keep yall posted (1)
