Notes:

Graduated from a tier 2 ivy. Work experience includes 4 years of S&T at a upper/middle tier bank (BAML, JPM, Citi) and a pivot into strategy and corp dev in consumer goods. Relocated from NYC to Sydney to gain international experience. Intend to continue pursuing a career at a consumer goods with a focus on connectivity (in a Corp Dev or strategy role). Interested to hear any feedback on schools that would be best to achieve these goals. And also to hear feedback on school selection given the mediocre GPA and GRE (Q:161, V:162 and hard earned...). Took an additional math class and got an A+ to help bolster mediocre stats.

It will be important that you can show impact, at work. Are you involved in activities outside of work? Being a student athlete helps, in terms of juggling all your various commitments, at least. Do you have any geographic preference, post MBA? It might be worth exploring a couple of programs from the next tier, Ross, Duke, Darden, etc (1)

For ECs after college, I am on the Junior Board of a foundation to help teach water safety and swimming skills in underprivileged communities. I have also completed an Ironman triathlon, marathons, and other races (one in which raised over $40k for charity). Very flexible as to geography of MBA program and post MBA program. (1)

You're at a 660 converted score per link below. From our admit data this season so far, I have seen a lot of flexibility among M7 programs with the GRE score. One of our consultants shared this with me about a recent GSB admit, "Her outcomes were far from a sure thing. After studying for months, her best score was on the GRE equivalent to GMAT was 650. GSB admitted her." What was your college major and did you take Calculus or Stats? It is important to show you can handle the quant-heavy coursework of M7 programs. grichmond Verified User. Likes Earned: 1155 I wouldn't sweat the GPA; it's absolutely within range at the top MBA programs and shouldn't keep you out. The GRE on the other hand is clearly lower, and may not play as well with the schools on your target list....but your overall story and package sounds very compelling (international experience, solid ECs, Ivy League grad, nice mix of finance and CPG). With a solid application strategy and materials, you could certainly be competitive. You just may want to broaden the scope of your target list of schools ever so slightly. Best of luck!
