Likes Earned: 47 MBA admit likelihood for your profile will be driven by type of employers and quality of your work responsibilities, from the eyes of US MBA Admissions. I'd also like to see a test score to make predictions on target MBA programs. For example, a 710 score will be very different than a 730+ for your profile. On face value, a previous title of "risk manager" as an international applicant may not be an easy admit to M7; but, there are always exceptions and your work is now in a different domain. Tenure post grad degree in green tech/ sustainability , which is unusual and desirable, will also influence the strength of your candidacy. Email me your resume if you'd like more specific feedback. alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1583 Your level of impact at work will be important. Your sports career also adds a very interesting dimension, that should help you differentiate your profile. Being a world champion is super impressive, for example. While I'm sure it highlights talent, I'd assume it also highlights dedication, perseverance and other characteristics adcom admire. A good test score, combined with decent academics, I'd hope your list of target programs makes sense. What's your long term goal? (1)

grichmond Verified User. Likes Earned: 1153 Are you an Australian national? If so, you fall int a portion of the applicant pool that is sought after by US programs as a rule. Assuming you can weave your work experience and goals into a compelling storyline and manage to secure a solid GMAT/GRE result, I would think you could be quite competitive for top US programs. ECs sound interesting and will likely be great fodder for adding color to essays and your overall profile. In short, it sounds like many of the basic ingredients are in place here, but you'll need to execute in your application materials.

I am a 29 year old Australian national. I have bachelors and masters degrees in Engineering. My work experience has predominately been in the sustainability or social impact space including the technology and engineering side of it. 3 years of my 4.5 years work experience has been in the consulting space, mainly in Big 4 firm (eg Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG) Climate change and sustainability services team working across property, technology, banking, insurance, mining and oil & gas sectors in the APAC region. Promoted to senior consultant and was later competitively selected to be be the Program & Risk Manager for the an international adaptive multi-sport event for Veterans (name hidden for privacy reasons) as a secondment from Big 4 firm. Later joined my current company (diverse transport & tourism company - assets include public transport, motoring club, car rental company, parks & resorts, hotel chain and other investments) as the Group Environment & Sustainability Manager. One of my key impact projects has been - Part of the advocacy and implementation team for one of Australia’s largest Electric Vehicle charging network- key to advancing the EV revolution in Australia & NZ. Is my shortlisted schools good for my post MBA goal? Is there any weakness that I need to address especially considering R1 2021 is going to be even more competitive in a post COVID-19 world? My master's degree GPA isn't great, but was a highly difficult and unique course. My long term goal is to be a decision maker/strategist for a business in the sustainable transport or technology space. (1)
