Notes:

The goal in pursuing an MBA is to acquire the marketing and entrepreneurship skills necessary to one day start a business in the Southern part of the U.S. (Arkansas or Texas.) In the short term, I'd go straight into Brand Management for a larger brand (Nike, Apple, etc) to learn the ins & outs of marketing, as well as to pay back debt accrued in business school. I'd then transition those skills to start my own business back home. I care about the development of the Southern part of the US, and my goal is to provide opportunities to myself and peers that will allow us to live in the place we love without compromising our professional goals.

The community I live in is important to me, and I've volunteered with underserved minorities in the area for a number of years. The heart of my goal is to serve the community I care so much about while pursuing my dream of starting my own business.

I have strong work experience, and have had the opportunity to take on 4 different roles in my 4 years out of college. I started in retail, then transitioned to a mid sized consumer goods company. I've held roles ranging from analytics to national sales, and they have all shown upward mobility.

I was supposed to take the GMAT in April, but it was canceled due to COVID. I rescheduled for May and June, but they were again canceled. I'm currently signed up to take it in August, but I'm concerned that testing centers won't open in time for round 1 applications, particularly as cases rise in my region of the US. I'd love perspective on how to approach admissions with the GMAT being so up in the air, and what I need to do to stick out.
