BS in Econ in college (Ivy). Hoping to use MBA to pivot from software investing to working at an eCommerce brand. Hope to immediately get into a Chief of Staff or strategy/ops role. Long term goal would be to start a company. In terms of ECs, very involved with one national women’s nonprofit. Founded a nonprofit as well (still active and is high impact). Would be curious to hear how realistic applying to my set of schools are with my GPA.

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1572 Might add/consider Kellogg, too? GMAT will help with GPA. If there is any quant weakness, might be worth exploring MBA Math. Showing impact and growth at work will be important. High impact ECs helps, very much, for sure. (0)

grichmond Verified User. Likes Earned: 1145 Any idea where your 3.29 placed you in your class? Also, what kind of marks did you get in the core economics coursework and any related quantitative classes (stats, calculus, micro, macro)? With all that said, I do think that the 750 will help a great deal. Everything else lines up really nicely - solid work, promotions, logical progression (presumably your exposure to the tech sector as an investor will help you transition into that space). ECs sound good too. Are you male or female? Women remain underrepresented in the applicant pool (especially women in finance) - so that's an additional feather in your cap if you can tick that box. aba4 Likes Earned: 8 I think 3.29 is average but I’m unclear. All quant courses were in the “B” range, except for two “C+” in calc and stats. Gmat is Q47/V46 for 750. I am female. Curious how this affects your assessment. Thanks! (1)
