I'm 33 years old. Currently preparing the GMAT for round 2. Worked in Amazon for the past 2.5 years, but was laid off during tech layoffs and started preparing my application.
Want to keep working in analytics and stay in the tech sector, but open to other industries.
I think my age and GPA could play against my odds.

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1587 Regarding your GPA, do you know your class rank? Since your layoff, what else have you been doing, other than preparing for the MBA admissions process? Showing impact and growth at work is important. Are you also involved in activities outside of work? At 33, and only 6 years of experience, seems a little off? Am I missing something? (1)

setur Likes Earned: 12 Thanks for the comments. I don't know my class rank, probably average student. I will highlight more responsabilities at work during my career as progression, taking ownership of larger projects. I have been preparing full time for the process as GMAT prep is taking most of my time. Activities outside of work is a weakness as well. Regarding experience, in Chile engineering school is usually 6 years. I graduated with 25 yo. Started working a few months after. I also have a about a year working within the family business, but I dont add it to experience as it was outside my professional path. So it's over 7 years of experience. (0)
