Decided to stick to a mix of five schools for Round 1 where I seem to fit the class profile. If anyone has any info on how soon they usually contact for interviews after the deadline, feel free to share. I think the wait will drive me crazy.

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1577 Wharton is October 27, that’s a good benchmark. Impact at work is important. Are you involved in activities outside of work? Re school choice, I’d pick 1 more M7 (Sloan for example, late R1 deadline) and 1-2 more top 16 (Ross, Duke, etc) (0)

anon15569 Likes Earned: 8 Thanks. I've redone my resume to show a lot of the impact at my work, and show the extracurriculars I've been at. I've taken up a lot of leadership at my temple since working fulltime so thought I would showcase that. For school choice I was considering maybe two or three more schools in the second round. MIT requirements are lengthy so I'm not sure there. I haven't looked much into the M7 schools as I always felt they were more geared towards investment banking, so I'll have to take another look to which one is geared towards my needs (happy to hear your thoughts on this). I'm thinking renewable energy or technology given my engineering background. From top 16 schools I was considering Cornell or Ross. I'm undecided as of yet. Truthfully I'm hoping I get into Tepper as I think culturally it would be a great fit for me too. Do you recommend starting applications for round 2 right away or waiting to see how round 1 applications fall? (0)

Perhaps start work on that now, and if it’s ready in time (with great execution) then submit for round 1. All M7 programs may be a good fit. IB is a smaller segment of their class, than it was 20 years ago. (0)
