Showing impact and growth at work is important. Are you also involved in activities outside of work?

Very good GPA, but your GRE is going to be lower than the median for top programs. Might b3 worth a retake?

grichmond Verified User. Likes Earned: 1155 Will you be working remotely if you join one of these programs? I see your current location (and presumably job) is in NYC, yet your target schools are not....

I do think it might be worth a retake on the GRE, and some serious thought about PT vs. FT - especially if you are looking to make both a geographic and industry/career change.

zadams23 Likes Earned: 0 Thank you both for your responses!! Definitely considering a GRE retake to get my quant score up a few points and I think I can get my overall score up to 320+. Money is the big factor in wanting to pursue part time. Right now I’m not comfortable taking on the cost and debt of a top tier full time program, especially without the 2 years of income. Interested in your perspectives on this b/c I’m not discounting FT entirely especially if I can get into a top program. My current job is remote, I’ll be continuing to work remote and I do plan on living on the west coast (Cali specifically) long term. Booth is the outlier but I did undergrad in the Midwest so I have roots there. What I like about these 3 schools is that their career centers are supportive of PT students pivoting and changing careers/industries. Improv is my main creative outlet outside of work, I’ve been involved with a local troupe for almost 2 years. Thank you for your insights!! (0)

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1587 The risk / reward is definitely higher for top full time MBA programs. You’ll generally graduate sooner and have a much more immersive experience in a full time program. You might also gain some scholarship money. If you get a great GRE score on the retake, I’d seriously consider these options. Improv is great, btw! (0)
