I expect my GPA/GRE score to be the low point of my application. I am debating to take the GRE again or take the EA. In my biased opinion my resume, leadership experience, and volunteer activities are much more significant and will help me overcome my GPA/GRE.

Also consider taking MBA Math o4 HBS CORe? Also, what are your post MBA goals, short and long term? Consulting is typically a good starting point for military candidates, for example. (0)

I registered for HBS CORE (how much will this help do you think...?), My GRE breaks down as Q-164 V-155 AWA-5, and I have a BS in Poli Sci from one of the top 3 Service Academies. Is it worth explaining the reason for my low GPA is the result of having to take courses like Differential equations/Thermodynamics as a Poli Sci major (major GPA: 3.49). Short-term IB or consulting most likely, long-term politics (should I even mention politics in interviews/apps? Or so polarizing?). I am getting really close to perfect EA scores on the practice test I think I am going to go that route (any insight on the EA for full-time program?). My work impact is pretty solid --> Consistently ranked #1 out of 30 or so officers, led large numbers of people/in charge 500M+ worth of equipment/ Officer in charge of a small, specialized team that seized large #'s of weapons/drugs/humans being trafficked in the Arabian gulf (multiple combat operations)/have received multiple awards/2 promotions...... Also, volunteer a lot consistently average about 10+ hours a week every week. Thanks for all the help! (0)

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1572 Work experience and ECs are top notch, no doubt. So don’t let your numbers let you down, that’s what’s key. The 155 q score is going to be a concern, so if you can improve that, it will be important to do so. Some programmes accept the EA, but not all, so it might limit your options. A brief explanation re your GPA makes sense. Pick one Short term goal, I would go with consulting. IB would place more scrutiny on the numbers. Politics in the long run is not typical. Business/operations leadership is more common. Having a politics goal might raise the question, why MBA versus other degrees. (0)
