ORM American Citizen from a job function (IT) that is considered overrepresented because of the high number of International Applicants. Experience includes a few years at a Brand Name Financial Services company, where I received an award for high performance after just 1 year there. Have received a few promotions and have some leadership responsibilities from a Project Management standpoint. UG is in Engineering from a school (Public Ivy) that is Top 5 in my field. ECs include mentoring high school students and some leadership positions in orgs during UG. Worked 20 hr/week part time on-campus job with leadership responsibilities during last 2 years of UG. Post MBA goal is to do Consulting in a Non Profit area.

I am hoping to get into a Top 15 school. My GPA is low but I am hoping my GMAT that is 10-20 points higher than the average at most schools I want, the length of my work experience, and the strength of my UG School can offset this. I consider myself to be a pretty strong writer so application materials such as the Essay and Resume should be very strong. My main question: would a T15 school still mostly be a stretch for me and, if so, would it worthwhile to retake the GMAT and aim for 750+ to make it a reach or should I start focusing more on the actual application materials given R1 deadline is in a few months?
