Are you able to show impact, in your technical role? Are you involved in activities, outside of work? I'm wondering if you could be a little more ambitious with your school selection? (0)

anon85305 Likes Earned: 5 OP: I am a white male US citizen. I have a BS in chemical engineering from a top 50 USA private university. I have studied for the GMAT since early 2018 and have taken it twice. Last score from March this year was my best at 690 (47Q, 38V). I have had trouble raising verbal (I always get around 38 on practice tests) and that section is harder to study for & improve in my opinion. I don't think I can improve the GMAT much at this point as I've already studied a long time for it. In the past 5 years, I have held several leadership roles working as an engineer in a small R&D team within a large international gas company and have made significant impact in terms of creating new projects and revenue growth. I have a volunteer leadership role at a non-profit teaching sustainable farming practices and have worked as an industry consultant (unpaid) at my undergrad university advising senior engineering students on their capstone design projects. I have also been a youth district leader for 1.5 years in a Buddhist non-profit organization. Maybe I could have been more a bit more ambitious with my school selections, but I feel I have a good shot with these schools and perhaps scholarship money, which is very important to me. (0)

Do you have any geographic preference, post MBA? You may have a shot for scholarship, but also recognize that consulting, post mba, can provide a quicker ROI (0)
