alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1577 Well your quant number is really good, if you could move that verbal number up, your overall score would be very strong. The GPA will be a challenge to overcome, perhaps more so in Round 2, unfortunately. (0)

With a very low GPA, your best remedy is likely to be an above-average GMAT result, whereas right now, your result is average (at best) for the target schools on your list (and well below average for the Indian IT/engineer portion of the pool). If you could nudge the verbal result up with some tutoring, an very high score (730+) would be within reach... I worry that applying in R2, as part of an over-represented portion of the applicant pool, and with these numbers may end up being very challenging. With that said, you can always roll the dice and see where you land this year, knowing that reapplication is a potential option in R1 next fall. Best of luck. (1)
