Started in tech consulting at a F100, then moved to Product Management/Business Development at a tech start-up. Looking to use MBA for better opportunities in consulting. Not averse to getting back to tech, as a backup. Pentalingual. Decent ECs. Applied to CMU, ISB, Emory & UW in Round1. Not sure if I hit the right school range for my current GMAT and profile. Considering a GMAT retake. Targeting 750. Current breakdown: Q48, V41. Would apply to 4-5 schools from the rest after the retake, in Round2. Thoughts on school choices?

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1584 Your credentials look decent, I'd assume that with good execution, you should have some success after R1. That said, R2 will be more difficult, given you are part of a very competitive profile. Obviously a 750 gmat will help mitigate that, somewhat. If you are successful in R1, then only apply to more highly rated programs for R2. Ross would seem like a good fit, etc (0)

anon28607 Likes Earned: 0 Thank you, Alex. Sound advice. Ross did look good in R1. But seemed out of bounds for my current GMAT. Other considerations with a 750+ score are INSEAD, UCLA, Yale and Virginia. Are any of these known to be GMAT-hungry schools? Like you mentioned, since I am part of a very competitive pool, this could be a make or break factor. Any of these 4 that you wouldn't recommend for an R2 application (for an Indian)? (0)
