Female born and raised in Toronto, Canada. Currently at the point where I am studying for GMAT (which is difficult as I typically don't test well) and researching schools/chatting with students. I graduated from Canadas top business school in 2019 and moved into a sales/busdev role at a small food & beverage where I've been promoted twice, expanded my responsibilities into marketing in addition to original team, and currently working on/leading global scale project. I have taken a handful of supplementary courses during COVID but am lacking in "volunteer" activities. Any recommendations on how to bolster my outside of work impact? Also what GMAT score should I be aiming for (and what would be the lowest I would need to apply?)

Supplemental courses will help, your GPA is a little lower than average for these target programs. Were you a leader on campus? What are you passionate about, outside of your work? You should try to target 700+, but the key is to prepare well, and leave yourself enough time to retake the test, if necessary. (0)

shan_mc_ca Likes Earned: 41 Where can I find supplemental courses? On campus I was an orientation leader for 2 years, mentor for Women in Management. Passionate about women in business, education, and equality - but don't know how to use that to get involved once I left school as there is no volunteer opportunities through work. (0)

grichmond Verified User. Likes Earned: 1153 I presume that 3.3 GPA placed you pretty high in your class? Were you given a class rank by any chance? I'd buckle down on the GMAT and just do the best you can, aiming to clear the 700 mark. Do you have any hobbies? 'Activities' don't always have to be formal / volunteer type work. I think you have a ton of potential and will find good results as you apply, especially given that you are starting nice and early! Best of luck!
