I'm very social impact oriented, with several examples of extracurricular / volunteer experiences. First full time job was at a Social Impact Fund founded by a Peace Nobel Laureate.

Solid career working with Marketing/Branding on the Educational sector, two of the companies I worked for are NASDAQ listed. Strong leadership skills (I've been leading people for 4 years now).

My recommender is a Columbia MBA Graduate, Marketing Director at my current employee and my career mentor.

Undergrad GPA is my main concern. Intend to take the MBA Math and give another shot at the GMAT to improve quant score.

I am not sure if I am aiming too high...

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1618 Retaking the GMAT might make sense, especially if the quant score is at a lower percentile. Doing MBA Math does make sense.

iwillgetthere94 Likes Earned: 1 Hi! I just listened to the episode. Can't thank you enough! - My GPA is 6.3 out of 10.0 and is slightly better during the beginning of my undergrad. I am from Brazil and majored from the TOP1 university in Latin America. During the five years of undergrad, I was never totally focused on academics. I was either directing my energy towards two student organizations (one of them was co-founded by me) or part-time jobs (internships). I didn't understand how valuable a good GPA could be later on. - My GMAT breakdown is Quant 44 / Verbal 41. - My sort-term post MBA goal is to be a corporate social responsibility / brand reputation manager OR work with impact investments again. On the long game, I would like to have my own consulting firm in the corporate social responsibility / sustainability field. I am really focusing on selecting the right schools to apply during the first round, and putting a lot of thought on that. (0)

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1618 You’re very welcome. I do think it would make sense to prep hard, and retake the GMAT, if you can (while also doing MBA Math). It’s one aspect of your profile that you can currently control and improve. An improved GMAT May alter the target programs that are realistic. (0)
