Lots of volunteer leadership, started my own Non-profit, top ranked performer at work with very strong rec letters; Columbia ED, not sure if I should spend time for HBS app (don't feel like it's a good use of my time since not realistic that I get in)

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1572 Why is HBS not realistic? Especially if you have leadership and impact at work and outside of work? Your post MBA goals, are they connected to your experiences? Are they ambitious and impactful? May want to also consider Yale, and if you have no geography preference, Stanford and Haas. GPA is below average, any context? Great GMAT (0)

anon88724 Likes Earned: 17 Thank you! Not really any context for the GPA. I did poorly freshman year and mediocre the rest of college. Spent too much time in student organizations and social stuff. I do have an alrernative transcript though with 3 classes, all A’s. Post MBA goals are ambitious and impactful IMO and working on them with an admissions consultant. I don’t think HBS is realistic just based on profil reviews from other websites and the profiles that I’ve seen of people who have gotten in. Same with Stanford. Not considering Haas or Yale yet but I will next year if I don’t get in this one (0)
