Hello Clear Admit! So excited that I finally get to post after having listened to so many wire taps episodes. Very briefly, I want to thank you all for providing such great resources that have really guided me through the start of my MBA application journey.

I'll start with some demographics. I am a 24 year old female who graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in computer science in 2020. I was born in Spain although I attended high school in the Bay Area and college in the Washington State.

Here are by gmat/gpa numbers. Recently took the GMAT (for a second time) and scored a 720 (V42, Q47). I might retake once more to see if I can get the score up a bit. My undergraduate GPA is 3.77.

Since graduating college, I have worked at Microsoft as a Software Engineer in the Seattle area. My job mainly focuses in the data space and I also sometimes perform the job of a Data Engineer. I have been promoted twice in my job in the two years I have been working. I have taken leadership positions like being the Scrum Master for my agile team. While at Microsoft, I have also participated in intern mentorship programs, the hispanic employees resource group, and the women @ microsoft organization.

In college I was one of seven Peer advisors for the Computer Science department. My job consisted of holding events for the department, guiding current students through career and academic decisions, and helping applicants with their applications to the major. During college I was also part of several other clubs. Post college, I have begun volunteering for the King County Library System in an after school program for underprivileged kids. Most of these kids are immigrants and are behind in there readings skills. I help them improve their reading skills and hopefully have fun while doing it. This work is meaningful to me as an immigrant who went through similar struggles. I also love to run, travel, and cook. I have also gotten into competitive dog showing with my pandemic puppy.

Post MBA my goal is to join my parents company, which is in the data virtualization space. I want to shift from being a software engineer to being in more of a management role or a PM job (unsure as of now). I want to stay in the technology space. I want to remain in the west coast but I am also open to the northeast or virginia (where my partners family is from). I hope an mba can be that jumping off point for me to shift from a more technical role to a more business role.

I have a couple questions for you:
1) I have considered doing an MS/MBA, is this something that is worth the time and money?
2) Should I try to retake the GMAT?
3) Is there any schools I should take off my list, any that I should add.

Looking forward to your responses!
