wellreadmister Likes Earned: 10 I am mostly resting and traveling during this break. I did a mathematics with a minor in CS for undergrad so I applied with a GMAT waiver. I was a software engineer in FANG for 2.5 where I was a lead engineer for a product used by most engineers around the world. I left to go to Microsoft to be a PM where I shipped features for a PAAS product and drove adoption to more than 100 enterprise businesses. Outside of work, I am part of a fraternity that is heavily involved in community service such as volunteering for child care and fundraising to support education for lower-income and minority groups. wellreadmister Likes Earned: 10 I would prefer Atlanta that's why i chose Emory and also i have relatives there. i lived in Vancouver, CA for 2 years during the pandemic before coming back to the states and Cornell Alumni shared Ithaca is similar in weather. Plus my fraternity has a strong connection to Cornell. I went for my undergrad in Nashville and took classes at Vanderbilt plus Vanderbilt has a relation and multiple programs with my alma mater. alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1618 I think it would be smart to focus on a passion project, during your break, if you have time. That might play well with adcom.

I’d also encourage you to prep and take the GMAT or GRE. Doing well in that test might open access to more top programs, and might make you more competitive for scholarships?

wellreadmister Likes Earned: 10 Great feedback! Hope to hear from admissions in May. Depending on the scholarships/admissions, I plan to spend the next couple of months writing the GRE and then apply for early admission in September for the 2025 intake. I will use the next couple of months to go to my home country in Africa and do some personal projects plus catch up with family. (1)
