Especially how that's helped you with leadership. Are you involved in activities outside of work, now? Curious why you've elected to pursue the GRE, rather than the GMAT? Obviously the higher the score, the better. If you can get 320+ then that might put you towards the top end of your target schools (depending on other factors, mentioned). grichmond Verified User. Likes Earned: 1152 Quick question regarding your goals: Is there any reason you want to leave the typically coveted domain of Hedge Funds in exchange for IB? Also, with respect to your undergraduate degree, was it in a quantitative subject? From a solid school? Those details will help me to better understand your academic profile - and to determine what you may need from the GRE/GMAT. Also, do you have other ECs since college (where the D1 sports angle should play well)? And finally, while it may be minor, I agree with Alex; a finance professional who is (presumably) only applying to b-school but takes the GRE does stand out to me. Schools take either and don't really care...but the GRE has a reputation for having a slightly easier quantitative section...so why would a finance person potentially be shying away from the GMAT? Again, this won't make or break your candidacy, but it did strike me. Thanks for the positive feedback on the first episode of Wire Taps!

anon77940 Likes Earned: 0 From OP: Taking the GRE to keep the JD/MBA option open. I went to a non-target school but majored in business with a focus in finance. As far as ECs, I work with an organization that brings underprivileged kids together through athletics. We also help them with academics and college/prep school recruiting. HF to IB, because I found a specific niche of finance that I genuinely find interesting. (0)
