@Stan Likes Earned: 0 How did you go about selecting these programs? Ranking? Size? Based on your testing/GPA numbers? Strength in real estate? These are all excellent schools, but I'm just trying to weave together the storyline in terms of how you selected them. Also, keep in mind that real estate is one of those fields with a lot of regional pull in many instances. As such, if you have a sense as to where you want to be geographically within the USA, that might play a role when it comes to UT Austin vs., say UNC. OP Likes Earned: 0 Thanks for the feedback. My selections are primarily based on each programs emphasis on real estate. While all these schools have fantastic programs, UNC, Georgetown, and Cornell really set themselves apart in terms of a real estate path and related extra-curricular activities (clubs, student managed RE funds, projects, etc.). Darden is also a fantastic school (and, I believe, the most competitive program I am looking at), but does not have a clear emphasis on real estate. However, I do value it's adherence to the case method and general management curriculum (my long term goal is to own/operate a portfolio of multifamily assets and to scale the platform by leveraging knowledge/relationships from my work on the debt side with knowledge/skills obtained immediately post MBA on equity side). With all that said, I want to stay on the east coast (DC/Philly/NYC). (0)
